Mac Haul

Hey everyone! Today I want to share with you a small Mac haul. I've been wanting a few products for a while now and I finally went out and got them!

Top left to right: Nylon, All That Glitters
Bottom left to right: Satin Taupe, Brun

The first thing on my wishlist was a Mac eyeshadow quad with 4 of my top wanted eyeshadows. I got Nylon which is a pale gold with icy shimmer that is perfect for the tear duct, inner corner and brow bone. All That Glitters is a gorgeous beige with gold pearl which looks great all over the lid alone and with other eyeshadows - I think everyone just needs this colour in their collection! Satin Taupe is a taupe with silver shimmer which is great for the outer corner and in the crease. Brun is a muted blackish brown which is perfect for my eyebrows and in the crease.

Vintage Selection is one of the Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pots which is a frosted dirty peach. It is pretty similar to Benefit's RSVP and it is nicely pigmented. This colour looks amazing alone, so great when in a rush as it just completes the look and pulls it all together.

I've been needing a blending brush for a while now and since getting this brush my eyeshadow looks so much better! I'm amazing how much a difference one brush can make.

I also picked up the pencil brush which I find is great for applying highlighter to the inner corner and tear duct. It can also be used in the crease however it can leave a strong line which is hard to blend out so I prefer to use a slightly larger brush in the crease.

The lady was really kind and gave me a sample of their Matchmaster foundation in the shade 1 which so far I really like and it gives a soft natural-matte finish and has good coverage.

Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment Review

Today I'm going to be reviewing the Macadamia Healing Oil Treatment which has been raved about for a while now and I've only just decided to jump on the bandwagon and try it. I bought the 30ml bottle to try it before I splash out on the large bottles and so far I have been loving it!

At the moment Argon oils are really popular and this hair oil is a blend of both Macadamia oil and Argon oil so you're kind of getting the best of both worlds. Since getting it about a month ago, I've been using this product every day after I as a protectant before I blow dry my hair and to keep the ends intact. I first concentrate the oil on my ends then work the excess on the rest of my hair up to the roots. I can honestly say that from the first use I could feel a dramatic difference in the softness and health of my hair; I was constantly touching my hair and playing with the ends! The amazing thing is that I don't even use a lot of it - I put the top upside down on my hand and as I take it off I allow a little extra to come out and that's it, it's not even a pumps worth which comes with the larger sizes.

I have noticed a drastic difference in the drying time which it claims to reduce by 40-50%. After blow drying I have noticed it keeps my hair sleek and nourished which adds a beautiful shine without leaving my hair fried by the heat. It is also easier to brush though. The texture is quite thick, so it is fairly easy to manage without it running off your hand; however on the hair it feels lightweight and doesn't cause my hair to become greasy. The scent is very natural which I actually like, although I've heard that many people don't like the smell which I guess everyone has different preferences and smells everything differently. This oil is also great for all hair types even oily hair because after 2 or 3 days my hair tends to build up oil at the roots but even while using this product it doesn't cause excess oil build-up.

Overall I really love this product and enjoy using it. I'm definitely going to be repurchasing a larger size with a pump (£60 for 300ml but Amazon does a great discount!) and I can see this is going to be a holy grail product! I'm not even half way through my 30ml bottle and I've had it a month already while using it every day and sometimes twice a day. A little goes a long way and it is definitely worth the money!

Glossybox March 2013

Hey everyone! My March Glossybox arrived today and I thought I would share what I got with you all.

This months Glossybox theme was City Chic and it came with the usual list of all the products and an extra travelling book with a list of top bars, hotels etc in different countries and there's also a page full of cute stickers.

The first product was the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream which is an intensive moisturiser that soothes and protects the skin. It's said that a little goes a long way so hopefully this little sample lasts me for a while! This product has multiple uses such as shaping brows, soothing dry hands and chapped lips, smooth cuticles and nails, revitalise shine and refresh jet lagged skin. This 7ml sample has a value of £3.50.

This is a lip stain and moisturiser in one which is pretty similar to Clinique Chubby Stick and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Lip Stain and have almost identical packaging. It is also cruelty free and this sample is a fullsized product worth £12.

This is an extra hold hair spray that is fast drying and flexible which can be brushed out with ease. I don't usually use hair sprays in my hair but I should start experimenting and trying new products and styles, so I'm looking forward to trying out this product. This sample is 100ml and has a value of £0.94

This is a mini sized Nail Inc nail polish in the colour St. James which is a classic pillar box red and will add instant glamour to any outfit! I'm really excited to try out this colour and I love the formula of Nails Inc polishes. This sample is worth £4.40 for 4ml.

I must admit I honestly hate receiving perfume samples because they are so small and I can get them free by asking at a department store. It is said that Couture La La blends bright sparkling mandarin with bold white florals for a fragrance experience that captures the essence of femininity and the daring allure of the unexpected. I'm surprised I actually like this perfume because all the Juicy Couture perfumes I've smelt I have never liked despite the amazing bottles. Also so far I've never liked any of the perfume samples I've had in my Glossybox because they all have a very mature scent but I know I'm definitely going to be using this sample up. This sample is worth 0.95£ for 1.5ml.

February Makeup Haul

Hey Everyone! During February I went to Finland and Estonia and I picked up a few beauty products at Duty Free and department stores.

Here's some close ups of all the products that I have bought:

I picked up the Bobbi Brown concealer and corrector in the shade Ivory and Porcelain Peach. I've been wanting to get these products for a while now but I haven't been able to justify the price, so as soon as I went to London Gatwick I couldn't resist the duty free prices!

I also got the BareMinerals Matte powder foundation at duty free in the shade Fairly Medium. The BareMinerals lady wasn't at the counter so I asked the one at Clinique to help me and she thought I was Fairly Medium which I've never had any foundation in medium so it kind of worried me because I didn't want to look orange, but since it's a loose powder you wouldn't be able to tell anyway.

Left to right: 102 Romy, 101 Lolita

I passed the L'Oreal section and couldn't help but pick up two of the L'Oreal Paris GlamShine Stain Splash which are a perfect dupe for the YSL Glossy Stains. I got the colours 101 Lolita and 102 Romy. The best thing was that these were buy one get one free which was a total bargain!

When I saw that they had the Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer I just had to get it because it hasn't been released in the UK yet and many people have raved about it.

From left to right: Apparence, Abstraction

At the Estonian duty free I decided to pick up the Chanel Illusion D'Ombre Long Wear Luminous Eyeshadows in Apparence and Abstraction.

From left to right: Savanna, Old Gold

I noticed in both Finland and Estonia that Make Up Store is a popular brand so I thought I should try a couple of eyeshadows. I got the shades Savanna and Old Gold.

On the ferry to Estonia from Finland I picked up the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Light which I have been wanting to get for a while. The light formula is 60% water based so it's great for people with oily, acne prone or sensitive skin.

I also picked up this Lancome Star Bronzer Minéral Mat at duty free in shade 03. It has a gorgeous design on the bronzer and outer case and smells of the signature Lancome rose scent.
